WASHINGTON – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has arrived in Jordan on aneight day long Middle East tour.
During the tour,Pompeo will deliver an address on Middle East policy inEgypt, whose army chief turned president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been akey partner of Trump.
He will also visit Manama, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, Muscat, Kuwait City,and possibly Baghdad.
The visit comes weeks after Trump announced that the United States wouldquickly pull its 2,000 soldiers out of Syria, declaring that ISIS had beendefeated.
