ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday again filed apetition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The petition has been filed seeking early hearing of his appeal againstsentence in the Al-Azizia reference.
The petition filed through his counsel contended that the court haddirected to hear the petition for suspension of sentence along with theappeal.
The ex-prime minister’s legal team comprising lead defence counsel KhawajaHaris Ahmed, Barrister Munawwar Duggal, Zubair Khalid and others had lastweek filed the petition as well as an appeal against Sharif’s conviction inthe Al-Azizia reference.
