NEW DELHI – In India, two day nationwide general strike by the trade unionsstarted from today to protest the policies of Narendra Modi-led BJPgovernment.
According to General Secretary of All India Trade Union Congress AmarjeetKaur, the strike is quite visible in different states including Assam,Meghalaya, Karnataka, Manipur Bihar, Rajasthan and Goa.
The trade unions having complete support of all major independentfederations of central employees, state employees and the employees ofbanks, insurance and telecom sectors are observing “rail roko and roadroko” strike against the government.
