QUETTA – Gwadar City has been declared as a municipal metropolitancorporation by the Balochistan government.
A high-level meeting was held in Quetta on Monday with Chief MinisterBalochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan in the chair.
Participants of the meeting reviewed proposed amendments to be adopted inthe Local Governments Act Balochistan.
The meeting decided to upgrade the Municipal Committee Gwadar to the statusof Metropolitan Corporation.

Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Mir Jam Kamal Khan said thatimplementation of Gwadar Master Plan would increase employmentopportunities and accelerate construction work and development activitiesin the city.
