MQM founder extradition: Important Decision likely

ISLAMABAD – Important decision is likely by the interior ministry overextradition case of MQM founder Altaf Hussain.

Interior Minister officials will meet on January 8 to discuss steps beingtaken to extradite chief of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) based in London,said a notification issued on Saturday.

The meeting will be chaired by federal interior secretary, and will beattended by the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) Director General, SindhInspector General Kaleem Imam and representatives from the Sindh homeministry.

Earlier, the interior ministry in October 2018 gave a go-ahead to theauthorities for approaching Interpol for Altaf Hussain’s red warrant in theImran Farooq murder case.

Farooq, 50, was stabbed to death outside his house in London on September16, 2010.
