Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan accepts PM Imran Khan s offer

ANKARA – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said Turkish investorshave evinced interest in Pakistan’s five million housing project.

He made the remarks at the conclusion of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visitto Turkey.

The foreign minister termed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s meeting withTurkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as very comprehensive.

He said the Turkish President will soon visit Pakistan on PM Imran Khanoffer along with a high level delegation including the investors.

The foreign minister said a high level cooperative council will beestablished between the two countries.

The foreign ministers of two countries will meet in the midst of this yearto work out the modalities of the council.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said a trilateral summit will also be held in Istanbulamongst Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan.

He said the Afghan president has also responded positively to attend thesummit.

Meanwhile, in a tweet today, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi saidPakistan and Turkey are on the same page on all issues of strategicimportance.

He said the leadership of both the countries will collectively transformtheir friendship into a more robust partnership.

Foreign Minister expressed pleasure over his meeting with Turkishcounterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara.
