LPG Price increased in Pakistan by OGRA

*ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday hasincreased the prices of the Liquified Petroleum Gas.*

*As per the media report, OGRA increased the price of liquefied petroleumgas (LPG) by Rs2 per kilogramme.*

According to a notification, the Ogra has fixed the LPG price at Rs115 perkg. With an increase of Rs23, domestic cylinder will now be sold for Rs1361.

The prices of LPG, coal and wood have gone up as the low to zero pressureof natural gas has forced many people to turn to alternate fuel sources tocook meals and warm up themselves owing to the cold weather in the country.

On Dec 29, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources GhulamSarwar Khan had assured to resolve the issue of low gas pressure onpriority basis the country.

Talking to a delegation of lawmakers hailing from Rawalpindi division atPunjab House, Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that adequate measures were beingtaken to mitigate sufferings of gas consumers.
