NAB approved 20 inquiries against top officials

ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday approved20 inquires against top officials.

In a NAB executive board meeting chaired by NAB Chairman Justice (r) JavedIqbal, the accountability body gave a go-ahead to probe against the twentypeople including former premier Abbasi.

It was reported that Abbasi will be probed about his tenure as a formerfederal petroleum minister.

The NAB today also approved initiation of probe against former petroleumsecretary Arshad Mirza, former managing director Pakistan State Oil SheikhImranul Haq, Deputy MD PSO Yaqub Sattar and former Bank of Punjab presidentNaeemuddin Khan.

It is worth mentioning here that the accountability body gave a go-ahead tothe probe against Abbasi who served as minister for petroleum duringNawaz’s tenure before assuming charge of PM office and others.
