KARACHI – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Saturday has responded over themedia reports of Governor Rule in Sindh.
He rejected reports of imposition of governor’s rule in the province amidfriction between the federal and provincial government over the ongoingmoney laundering case.
Addressing a joint press conference with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistanleader Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan, the governor said that the electedrepresentatives will complete their respective tenures according to theirconstitutional mandate.
“Any possiblity of imposition of governor’s rule in the province is not inmy knowledge,” he said.
Governor Ismail also expressed his disappointment over the recent surge oftarget killing incidents in Karachi and vowed that the government will takecontrol of the situation. “There have been a few arrests linked to thetarget killing incidents. These are unfortunate incidents but we will soontake control of the situation,” the governor added.
