ISLAMABAD – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Ministryof Climate Change and the National Rural Support Program to plant treesthrough drone.
The document was signed in Islamabad on Thursday between Director GeneralEnvironment of the Ministry of Climate Change Irfan Tariq and ChiefExecutive Officer of NRSP Dr. Rashid Bajwa.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change MalikAmin Aslam said drones will be used in 10 billion tree Tsunami campaign tobring a larger area under plantation.
The MoU also aims at establishing Challenge Fund for Climate Smart Projectunder which NRSP in collaboration with the Ministry will release a fund of10 million rupees. The fund will be spent on development work under CleanGreen Pakistan Movement.
The project will begin in March this year.
