ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Railways is making all-out efforts to reinforceits fleet of locomotives to transform the organization into a vibrant andprofit-earning entity.
An official of the Ministry of Railways said the railways was pursing aprudent policy to attract more passengers and get increased freightbusiness by extending a number of facilities to the public.
He said the Railways had upgraded around 52 kilometers tracks during thelast six months through indigenous resources to ensure safe and smoothjourney to passengers.
He said the Railways is planning to upgrade and replace Main Line (ML-1)from Karachi – Peshawar double track of 1681 KMs under China-PakistanEconomic Corridor.
