SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian police re-arrested Jammu and KashmirDemocratic Political Movement (DPM) leader, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, soon afterhis release from Srinagar Central Jail.
The DPM in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shakeel Ahmed Butt wasrearrested by the police outside the central Jail after he was released oncourt orders on Monday. It said that Shakeel Butt was lodged in SrinagarCentral Jail since his arrest on 21st of this month.
The DPM strongly denounced the re-arrest of the party leader. It appealedto the international human rights organizations including AmnestyInternational to take notice of the plight of Kashmiri detaineeslanguishing in different jails and play role in their release.
