ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court on Tuesday acquitted three life sentencedconvicts after passing twelve years behind the bars in a murder case.A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard theappeal of accused, namely, Muhammad Yaseen, Ghulam Mustafa and MuhammadNadeem.All the accused were awarded death sentence by the trial court in themurder of Aisha Bibi from Nankana Sab in 2006, however Lahore High Courthearing appeal converted the sentence into imprisonment for life.
Subsequently, they approached top court challenging LHC decision andfinally after passing twelve years behind the bars they got justice.
