ISLAMABAD – Many people participated in the funeral prayers of martyredyouth Saqib Shafi Dar in Pulwama district.According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS) , Saqib Shafi Dar was martyred byIndian troops along with another youth during a cordon and search operationin Khonmoh area of Srinagar district on Saturday.
Saqib’s body was charred beyond recognition as the troops set ablaze ahouse in the area by using chemical substance.Thousands of mourners from Pulwama, Shopian, Rajpora and other areasgathered in Saqib’s native Arihal village in Pulwama district andparticipated in his funeral prayers. Multiple rounds of funeral prayerswere held to accommodate the huge rush of people.The participants shouted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. A maskedmujahid also appeared during the funeral and offered gun salute to Saqib byfiring several rounds in air.
