*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has given important instructions toChief Minister Punjab over Punjab Police.*
*PM ordered Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to purge the Punjab police ofofficials having criminal record.*
The Prime Minister has ordered the chief minister to expedite the scrutinyprocess. Earlier, the chief minister had sought six months to complete thescrutiny.
Sources said that the scrutiny of officials having criminal record will beconducted on the pattern of KP.

On the other hand, a new standard operating procedures (SOPs) has beenissued for the Punjab police. As per the SOPs, the police officials havebeen directed to fulfill all legal requirements before a raid or anoperation.
The SOPs letter has been sent to all DPOs and SPOs. “There should be noloss of life during the operation. No such act will be tolerated infuture,” the SOP read.
