LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued bailable arrestwarrants for Railways GeneralManager (GM) Aftab Akbar for not appearingbefore the court despite being summoned.Justice Shujaat Ali Khan passed the orders while hearing a petition, filedby one Naseem Akhtar regarding a land dispute.The court had summoned the GM for Friday after no reply was filed by him tothe petition, which was pending since 2017.However, the GM failed to appear before the court in the case. At this, thecourt took a strict notice of his abscenceand issued bailable arrest warrants while adjouring the further hearingtill January 29.
