Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar appointed leader of Taliban s political office in Qatar

KABUL: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has been appointed as the leader of Taliban’s political office in Qatar.

His appointment is aimed at strengthening Taliban side in peace talks with the United States to end the 17-year Afghan war.
