ISLANABAD – Pakistan and Iraq have agreed to finalize the signing ofMemorandum of Understanding aimed at ensuring legal and risk-free migrationof the Pakistani manpower to Iraq.

The agreement reached between Special Assistant to Prime Minister onOverseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development and Iraqi Labor MinisterDr Basim Abdul Zaman Majeed Al Rubaie during a meeting held in Baghdad.

It was agreed that both the countries would work together for safe andlegal migration of workforce from Pakistan.

Both sides also agreed that Iraqi government would also facilitatePakistani businesses by ensuring speedy processing of business visas.

Earlier, Zulfikar Bukhari also met with Iraqi President Barham Salih andappealed him that Pakistan sought an increase in export of Pakistanimanpower to Iraq amid enhanced development activities.

Both sides agreed upon creating a mechanism to increase supply of Pakistanimanpower to Iraq.
