Imran Farooq murder case: New development reported from IHC

ISLAMABAD – Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday accepted the FIA’s requestfor early hearing of an appeal against the anti-terrorism court’s decisionfor not giving further time to collect evidence from Britain in ImranFarooq murder case.A divisional bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and JusticeMiangul Hassan Aurangzeb fixed January 31, to hear the appeal of FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA) against the decision of special court.Khawaja Imtiaz Advocate appeared before the bench on behalf of the FIA andprayed the court for early hearing of their appeal.Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court had refused to give further time to FIA tocollect evidence from Britain in murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM)’s leader Imran Farooq.The FIA had challenged the decision and now, requested the court for itsearly hearing.
