Falcon Talon: USAF advanced fighter jets landed in Pakistan for massive joint Air Exercise

KARACHI – The United States air force (USAF) advanced fighter jets havearrived in Pakistan for a massive joint air exercise, it has been revealed.

As per media report, USAF has sent its fighter aircraft to Pakistan for themassive joint exercises under the designation Falcon Talon-III, DailyPakistan learnt on Tuesday.

The air exercises are set to take place at PAF Base Shahbaz, which islocated at Jacobabad, Sindh. It is a military base operated by the PakistanAir Force as well as a civilian airport.

The joint exercises come only a day after senior US Senator Lindsey Grahamurged President Donald Trump to meet Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan,as intense contacts between the two countries continue over negotiations toend the 17-year war with the Taliban in neighbouring Afghanistan.

Graham spoke to reporters in the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Sunday,capping off days of meetings that saw the top US envoy on Afghanreconciliation and its commander of military forces in the region alsovisit the South Asian country.

“I’ve seen things change here and all in a positive direction,” saidGraham, a senior member of the powerful Senate Armed Services Committee whohas visited Pakistan dozens of times in recent years.

Khan, who came to power after a general election last year, has long statedhis support for a peace agreement in Afghanistan to end hostilities there.

Trump would be “far more enthusiastic about the region than he is today” ifhe met Khan, said Graham, who held talks with the prime minister earlier onSunday.

“With Prime Minister Khan we have a unique opportunity to change ourrelationship,” he said.
