ISLAMABAD – Raja Ali Ejab, a career diplomat, has assumed charge asAmbassador of Pakistan in Kingdom ofSaudi Arabia on Monday (Jan 21).

Prior to this appointment, he served as Consul General of Pakistan in NewYork. Further, he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as DirectorGeneral (United Nations) from January 2013to January 2014, a message reaching here on Tuesday from Jeddah said.

Raja Ali Ijaz has earlir, held the appointment of Director in the Officeof Minister of State forForeign Affairs (2004-2006), Desk Officer for India (1996-98) and DeskOfficer for South Asisaand Pacific from (1991-92) in the Ministry.

He has also served at various overseas assignments at the Embassies ofPakistan in Kabul ,Maxico and Romania.
