Federal government decides to shift PIA Head Office from Karachi

ISLAMABAD – Federal government has decided to move Pakistan InternationalAirlines (PIA) head office from Karachi to Islamabad.

The decision was reportedly taken during a meeting earlier this month withPrime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.

The move is being made because the Aviation Division is in Islamabad. Afinal recommendation on the matter will be presented by the end of July.

As per reports, an immediate decision was not taken because therepresentatives from the aviation division including Director General ofCivil Aviation Authority (CAA) could not attend the meeting.——————————

Formulation of a new aviation policy aiming to achieve profitability forPIA was also discussed during the meeting, the report said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the national flag-carrier has madeseveral moves to regain its lost glory during the past few months.
