ISLAMABAD – Ambassador of Iran in Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost called onSpeaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Besides bilateral relations, regional peace and international issues werealso discussed during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Asad Qaiser said Pakistan wants to enhance tieswith Iran for economic and regional prosperity.

He stressed the need for cooperative measures on emergency basis by allSouth Asian countries to strengthen economy and alleviate unemployment.

The Speaker said Pakistan shares a bond of friendship with Iran rooted inreligion and culture.

He said experiences of parliamentarians can be enriched by parliamentarydiplomacy and promotion of mutual ties.

On the occasion, the Iranian ambassador said Iran highly values its closeties with Pakistan. He said Iran desires to enhance cooperation withPakistan in different sectors.
