ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Australia are on the verge of creating history asthe two cricket boards are in negotiations for first-ever day-night Testseries later this year.

Pakistan are scheduled to tour Australia for two Tests in November andDecember this year and both authorities — the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)and Cricket Australia (CA) — are under consideration to play their twomatches in Brisbane and Adelaide.

The Gabba is set to host Sri Lanka under lights this week, coming at a timewhen the venue is under increasing pressure to deliver on CricketAustralia’s expectations.

Recently, India had refused to play under lights in Adelaide when theytoured Australia for four Tests, but CA chief executive Kevin Roberts hasmade it clear he believes that venue should always host a day-night Test, adding to the festive feel.

Similarly, the Men in Green stepped back from playing under flood lights inDubai during Australia’s tour of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
