Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has reiterated that peace in Afghanistan is important for Pakistan and assured continued efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region.
He was talking to US delegation headed by Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad and Commander Resolute Support Mission General Austin Scott Miller called on him at GHQ in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, regional security environment and Afghan peace and reconciliation process was discussed.
The delegation appreciated Pakistan’s efforts towards peace process.
Deputy Assistant to US President Lisa Curtis and US charge d’ affairs to Pakistan were also present on the occasion.
