Indian Army Chief beating the War Drums against Pakistan

NEW DELHI — Attacking Pakistan but not by name, Indian Army chief GeneralBipin Rawat Jan. 15 said “our western neighbor” is ceaselessly supportingterrorists and warned that India will achieve “decisive success” if a waris forced on it.

Rawat made his remarks at the 71st Army Day parade here.

Warning that security challenges will be more complex in future, the Armychief said: “There is a need to enhance our professional skills to dealwith any danger.”

Rawat said that a new policy had been adopted on the border with China andthe armies of the two countries told to maintain peace.

Referring to action taken in the wake of unending firing by Pakistanitroops, he said: “We have been giving a befitting reply to the enemies onthe Line of Control that has led to heavy loss of lives and logistics.”

Accusing Pakistan of helping terrorists, Rawat said: “I warn the enemy thatwe will not hesitate to take heavy action in reply to what they are doingagainst our country.”

“Not only is our neighboring country supporting terrorism but it is alsoproviding arms and facilitating training to terrorists.

He said the Army’s anti-infiltration operations were on and would continue.
