DEHRADUN – Afghanistan scored a record T20 international score of 278 in athrilling match against Ireland in the Indian city of Dehradun on Saturday.
Hazratullah Zazai hit an unbeaten 162 off 62 balls with 16 sixes which isanother record besides 11 fours in the free hitting innings. He fell shortof mere 5 runs to beat Australia’s Aaron Finch’s total but was able toscore a century in only 42 balls.

The score humbled Australia’s 263-3 against Sri Lanka in Kandy in September2016.
Ireland lost the contest by 84 runs and series as well. After the T20contest, five-match one-day series between the countries would begin onThursday.
