ISLAMABAD – Pakistan will move troops from western border to easternborder if tension escalates further between the two countries, diplomaticsources informed on Saturday.
According to diplomatic sources, threats from India cannot be ruled outamid prevailing situation.
“Pakistan does not want atmosphere of fear but the country is ready torespond with full force if India imposed war,” sources told.
It was further reported that Pakistan is in contact with the friendlycountries as it needs their moral and political support.
Earlier on Friday, Pakistan army said it is prepared to defend against anyattack by India, and would respond with full force. The clear message wasdelivered by DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor a day after Prime Minister ImranKhan authorised the military to begin preparations for a possible attack.
“We have no intention to initiate war, but we will respond with full forceto full spectrum threat, that would surprise you,” said Major General AsifGhafoor.
“We do not wish to go to war. If it is imposed on us, we have the right torespond,” he told.
After a suicide blast killed around 50 India soldiers in Pulwama districtof Occupied Kashmir, India had vowed a “jaw-breaking response” to theattack claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group.
In response, Pakistan said it was “not involved in any way, means or form”in the attack which it claimed was “conceived, planned and executedindigenously”.
