ISLAMABAD – Minister of State for Revenue, Hammad Azhar launched theTaxpayers’ Directory 2017 for Parliamentarians and all taxpayers inIslamabad today (Friday).
Speaking on the occasion, he said objective of launching the tax directoryis to increase financial transparency and sharing information with thepublic that how much the public representatives had been paying taxes tothe exchequer.
The Minister said measures are being taken to overcome trade and budgetdeficit.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman FBR Jehanzeb Khan said it has been thefifth consecutive year that the Tax Directory for the Parliamentarians andthe Tax Payers published by FBR.

He said increasing the number of tax payers and improving the Tax to GDPratio has been the top most priority of the current government.
The Chairman FBR said there has been a 34% increase in the number of taxfilers because of the steps taken by the institution.
