Pakistan International Airlines suspends flights to Japan

ISLAMABAD: The government has suspended the flights of PakistanInternational Airlines (PIA) to Japan. The last PIA flight to Japan left onSunday.

The government reportedly suspended the flights as “there were fewerpassengers to travel to Japan” and because “empty PIA planes were beingtaken to Japan”.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani community staged a protest at the airport againstthe government’s decision. The protesters demanded that the flights toJapan should be restored.
