ISLAMABAD – Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary has announced to launch abig crackdown against the ones using social media to propagate extremistnarrative.
Addressing a workshop in Islamabad today, he said a mechanism to thiseffect has been prepared in consultations with the security agencies.
The Information Minister regretted that certain elements through fakeaccounts are resorting to hate speeches and issuing edicts. He said theseelements will be brought to book. He said enforcement of relevant lawswill be ensured to ensure rule of law.
The Information Minister said we are also establishing Pakistan Mediaregulatory authority which will provide one window facility to all themedia outlets and ensure enforcement of related regulations.
