ISLAMABAD – Finance Minister Asad Umar has said Pakistan offers multipleopportunities for foreign investors and welcomed Saudi companies to investin various sectors including petro-chemicals and mining sector.
Talking to the visiting Saudi media delegation in Islamabad today, he saidboth countries are now focused on providing opportunities to the youth toenable them play a key role in socio-economic development. He also welcomedSaudi participation in CPEC projects.
He made special mention of the oil refinery project envisaged by the Saudiside in Pakistan and said it will have a lasting impact on Pakistan’seconomy both in terms of investment and growth.
The Saudi media delegation shared with the Minister their impressions aboutthe visit to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Asad Umar has said that there is great scopefor the development of auto sector in Pakistan with the help of Turkey.
He was chairing meeting of the Committee on Pak-Turkey Strategic EconomicFramework in Islamabad today.
He said that banks from both sides should be encouraged to establishbranches in each other’s country to promote business linkages andfacilitate financial transactions.
The Finance Minister appreciated the proposal for establishment of a creditGuarantee Fund for trade enhancement.
