Federal government appoints new Chief of National Bank of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The federal government has appointed Arif Usmani as thepresident of the National Bank of Pakistan on Tuesday.

According to an official notification, the appointment has been made underthe section 11 (3)(a) of the Banks (Nationalisation) Act, 1974.

The notification said that Usmani has been made President of the NBP forthree years with Immediate Effect.
