Balochistan may host a match of PSL 2019: Report

ISLAMABAD – Eight matches of the PSL 2019 have been scheduled in Pakistanin a bid to win back the international cricketing community’s trust andrevive international cricket in the country.

In this regard, Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has written tothe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Ehsan Mani, to organize one ofthe PSL matches in Quetta, Balochistan, saying that ‘we want to seeinternational cricketers playing in Quetta’.

Kamal, in his letter, emphasized the improved law and order situation inBalochistan, pledging his government’s full support for a solitary PSLmatch in the province’s capital.

Balochis are cricket-loving people, who have been deprived of sports for along time.

People of Balochistan have a deep interest in sports and particularly incricket. But the citizens here have been deprived of international matchesfor many years.

However, Mani is yet to comment on the Chief Minister’s request.

Last year, Quetta Gladiators owner, Nadeem Omar also requested PCB toconsider Quetta as one of the venues for PSL 4.
