Supreme Court of Pakistan full court meeting held in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa has expressed hopeto have cooperation of judges for the provision of speedy justice.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa chaired Supreme Court’s fullcourt meeting.

The judges congratulated the Chief Justice for assuming the highestjudicial office.

The meeting is to review the SC performance in terms of dispensation ofjustice, disposal of cases.

The judges in attendance express satisfaction over the performance of theSupreme Courtfull court meeting told 6407 cases filed in the SC from September toDecember last year

The meeting agreed on video link connectivity between the Supreme Court andits branch registries to facilitate lawyers.

The meeting participants were told that there are 40,535 pending cases. Themeeting emphasized the need to categorize the cases in order to clear thebacklog.
