ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Makhdoom Qureshi condemning theongoing atrocities in Occupied Kashmir has expressed solidarity withKashmiris in their struggle for their legitimate right to self-determination
He said this after inaugurating an Exhibition on Kashmir marking theobservance of Kashmir Solidarity Day in London, on Wednesday.
The Minister said Government and the people of Pakistan remain steadfast intheir moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris. He saidPakistan will not spare any occasion to create awareness on Jammu & Kashmirsituation before the international community. He demanded to haltbloodshed in Indian Occupied Kashmir immediately and unconditionally.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan High Commissioner Mohammad NafeesZakaria called for a peaceful resolution to Kashmir dispute.
AJK President Sardar Masood Khan urged the international community to speakfor the voiceless and oppressed Kashmiris. British Parliamentarians whospoke at the event included Imran Hussain, Lord Qurban Hussain and DebbieAbrahams.
The exhibition was jointly hosted by British Member Parliament ImranHussain, and Chairperson of World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis NaheedRandhawa to extend moral support to the oppressed Kashmiri people in IndianHeld Kashmir.
The exhibition showcased a wide array of photographs that shed light on theplight of innocent Kashmiris, particularly pellet gun victims includingwomen and children who suffered from injuries at the hands of occupiedIndian security forces. Kashmiri traditional songs were also played duringthe event.
The event was attended by a large gathering of guests including BritishParliamentarians, members of Cross-party Foreign Relations Committee of theSenate of Pakistan, Local government Mayors and Councilors, representativesfrom civil society organizations, students, Kashmiris and members of theBritish Pakistani Diaspora.
