PM Imran Khan responds over arrest and resignation of Aleem Khan

LAHORE – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has hailed Aleem Khan‘s volunteerresign following NAB detention and said that everything should be proceededas per the law the case.

Earlier National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan in connection with offshorecompanies scandal.

The anti-corruption watchdog had summoned Aleem Khan at Lahore office forinterrogation. The investigation officials were reportedly not satisfiedwith the records provided by him.

The accused will be produced before the accountability court on January 7.——————————

Abdul Aleem Khan has resigned as Punjab Minister for Local Govt andCommunity Development after his arrest. He has announced to face the casein the court.

Earlier, PTI leader said that he had provided the details of assets to theElection Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Federal Board of Revenue(FBR).

“I never ever committed corruption of a single penny or hold a piece ofland in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he clarified.
