*LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested seniorPunjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday (today).*
*Following his arrest he has resigned from the slot of senior minister ofPunjab. *
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader was taken into custody as heappeared before the accountability court for hearing of two casespertaining to offshore companies and disproportionate assets than incomeagainst him.
As per details, the answers of the senior minister failed to satisfy theNAB officials during the inquiry of cases, subsequently leading to hisarrest.
Following his arrest, Khan tendered his resignation from the post ofPunjab’s senior minister wherein he was supervising nearly five ministriesof the province.

Khan has been facing investigation by the NAB for owning an offshorecompany, and has further allegations of land-grabbing and owning assetsbeyond known means.
It is worth mentioning that few days earlier, Khan castigated the bureaufor dragging cases against him that the accountability watchdog mustcomplete inquiry of cases within stipulated time.
