Angelina Jolie shams world over indifference to Rohingya Muslim refugees

ISLAMABAD – Special envoy of United Nations High Commission for Refugeesand Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie visited Rohingya refugees from Myanmarand condemned world’s failure to prevent crisis that saw 730000 Rohingyaminorities driven from their homes.

Addressing a crowd of refugees on a hilltop in Kutapalong camp, the world’slargest refugee settlement, in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar district onTuesday, she said you have every right not to be stateless and the way youhave been treated shames us all.

Jolie said the crisis is the result of decades of discrimination that hadgone unaddressed.
