ISLAMABAD – Fawad Chaudhry will continue working as the minister forfederal information and broadcasting, says Special Assistant to PrimeMinister on Media Affairs Yousaf Baig Mirza on Thursday.
In a statement issued today in Islamabad, the PM’s media adviser ruled outrumours that PTI leader Babar Awan is being assigned the portfolio of theinformation ministry in Chaudhry’s place.
Some sections of the media published reports that the informationministry’s portfolio will be taken away from Chaudhry and he will beassigned another ministry.
Dr Awan also denied such media reports. “The reports that I am being givenresponsibility of the information ministry are not correct,” said Dr Awanin his media talk after he called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today.

“I met Imran Khan but his [Chaudhry’s] replacement wasn’t discussed withme.” He said only legal and constitutional affairs were discussed duringthe meeting.
