PM Imran Khan deeply disappointed with the Punjab Assembly lawmakers

*ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday expressed deepdisappointment over the decision of Punjab Assembly which had passed a billincreasing salaries and privileges to the provincial lawmakers includingchief minister.*

In his latest Twitter message, PM Khan said, he was ‘extremely disappointedby the decision of Punjab Assembly’ regarding raise in salaries andprivileges of the Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs), other minister andespecially the chief minister.

Continuing his sharp criticism indiscriminately against the provinciallawmakers, he termed the development as ‘ untenable’ move by legislatorsamid the deteriorated economic situation ‘ when we do not have resources toprovide basic amenities to all our people’.

He added that the increase in perks and pays could only be justified whenprosperity returns to the country.

Surprisingly, Prime Minister Imran Khan is earning less than even federalministers, who are getting the monthly salary of about Rs: 2.5 lac, ARYNews found out from the pay slip of Khan.link
