ISLAMABAD – Saudi Arabia’s embassy has asserted that Riyadh had played acrucial role in ‘normalizing’ the simmering tensions between Pakistan andIndia.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the Saudi Council ofMinisters have been quoted as saying that the twin visits of al-Jubeir toPakistan and India were meant to “preempt anything that might affect theregion’s security and stability”.
Furthermore, Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz was thoroughly briefed on theoutcome of al-Jubeir’s trips to the subcontinent.
