*ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) has accepted plea submitted byincarcerated prime minister Nawaz Sharif for early hearing of his bailpetition on medical grounds.*

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa directed the SC officeto fix hearing of the bail petition next week.

A three-member bench constituted by the apex court will hear the bailpetition filed by the former premier jailed at Kot Lakhpat jail.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nawaz Sharif had separately filedpleas seeking his bail on medical grounds, as well as its early hearingfollowing his worsening health condition.

On March 11, A new petition had been filed by incarcerated former primeminister Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court (SC) seeking early hearing ofhis bail plea on medical grounds.

The petition appealed the top court to fix hearing on priority basis citingworsening health condition of Nawaz Sharif. The Supreme Court was sought tofix hearing of his petition in this week, the petition stated.
