ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday directed the Capital DevelopmentAuthority (CDA) to submit a comprehensive report on a 20 Kanal plot,allotted to Jamia Hafsa in Islamabad’s sector H-11.
A three-member bench of the court, headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed andcomprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan, heard the case.During the course of proceedings, Justice Gulzar asked on how much area isLal Masjid built and who owns its land?
The Deputy Attorney General responded that the Lal Masjid was built ongovernment land. Upon this, Justice Gulzar summoned the Chairman CDA.Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmed informed the court that CDA allotted 9,533yards of land in 1970 and 206 yards were allotted to Jamia Hafsa. The CDAchairman told the court that Maulana Abdullah was appointed the mosque’smuezzin, and he was succeeded by his son Maulana Abdul Aziz.
Justice Gulzar remarked that it means that Maulana Abdul Aziz was agovernment employee.
The CDA Chairman said that Maulana Abdul Aziz was removed from the positionin 2004 but he still held control of the mosque.

The parents of two children also appeared before the court and said thattheir children were missing since 2007.
Taking notice over the matter, the court directed the CommissionerIslamabad to submit a separate detailed report on the missing children andadjourned hearing of the case for a month.
