Reacting to the verdict, Maryam said that she has been praying for herfather but only God will decide his fate.
On February 20, a two-judge Islamabad High Court bench comprising JusticeAamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani reserved its verdict afterhearing the PML-N founder’s petition to get his sentence suspended in theAl-Azizia case.
The three-time former prime minister wants his sentence in the Al-Aziziacase suspended until the final verdict in the appeal is announced. Nawazwas sentenced to seven years in jail on December 24 last year. On January26, his counsel moved the court against the verdict.
