No threat to democracy only corrupt elements facing brunt of NAB actions: Information Minister

Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and his family are involved in money laundering of about 100 billion rupees abroad.

Talking to media in Islamabad this afternoon, he said Shahbaz Sharif and his family owned assets worth about 85 billion rupees in the United Kingdom procured through money laundering.

The Minister said Hamza Shahbaz should have surrendered before the National Accountability Bureau team, which went to his residence to arrest him after fulfilling all legal formalities.

He said it is unfortunate that Hamza Shahbaz did not cooperate with the NAB team, but also obstructed its investigation by attacking the team members.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said it was the commitment of Prime Minister Imran Khan to bring back the looted money of the people of Pakistan.

He said whenever an action is taken against plunderers and looters they start crying.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said initial work on Apna Ghar Scheme has been completed and housing sector will revive Pakistan economy.

Information Minister said government is delivering on its promises made with people of the country. He said we are laying the foundation of a strong and stable Pakistan. Fawad Chaudhry said there is no threat to democracy and economy in Pakistan.

He said government is fully committed to retrieve looted money of people from the corrupt elements and no stone will be left unturned in this regard.

Information Minister said process of accountability will continue without any interruption.
