Zardari’s foster brother responds over media reports of his arrest in Dubai

*KARACHI: Former Sindh local bodies minister and former president Asif AliZardari’s foster brother, Owais Muzaffar Tappi, has refuted reports of hisarrest in Dubai.*

Owais Muzaffar Tappi said he was in Dubai and only heard about his arreston media.

Earlier, a report quoted by sources, said that former provincial minister,Owais Muzaffar Tappi was arrested last night in Dubai.

The National Accountability Bureau had approved the launching of inquiriesin four different cases against Owais Muzaffar Tappi in August last year.

The report also said that the former Sindh minister will be transferred toPakistan soon.

DIG South Javed Odho on the court’s summon informed the Supreme Court thatOwais Muzaffar Tappi has been out of country for three years.

Former chief justice Saqib Nisar last year heard a petition of a citizen ofKarachi about land grabbing charges against Owais Muzaffar and Agha SirajDurrani.

Petitioner Dr. Iqbal alleged the the two accused illegally grabbed ahousing scheme of Malir district.
