PP 218 by elections: Unofficial Results announced

*MULTAN: According to unofficial and unconfirmed results, PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Malik Wasif Mazhar Raan won by-electionin Multan’s constituency PP-218 on Sunday.*

PTI’s candidate Malik Wasif Mazhar Raan clinched PP-218 seat by securing46,988 votes while his close contender, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)candidate Malik Muhammad Arshad received 39486 votes.

The Punjab Assembly seat fell vacant after the death of PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) MPA Mazhar Abbas Raan.

Major contenders vying for the seat were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI)Malik Wasif Mazhar Raan, Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Malik MuhammadArshad.
