*LAHORE: Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan on Thursdayconferred twenty-three officers of the Pakistan Army with Sitara-i-Imtiazand 48 officers with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz during an ceremony in Lahore, saidInter Services Public Relations (ISPR).*
The ceremony was held at the Corps Headquarters Lahore to confer militaryawards to army personnel for acts of bravery during operations, outstandingperformances in their respective fields and for their long estimableservices.
A large number of military officials and relatives of Shuhada/Ghazisattended the ceremony. Twenty three officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz(Military), 48 officers were awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (military) and 15officers and soldiers were awarded Tamgha-e-Bisalat, the army’s militarywing said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Humayun Azizhad conferred military awards and medals to Army personnel during aceremony at Malir Garrison.
In recognition of their acts of gallantry and velour during differentoperations and outstanding performance, Lieutenant General Humayun Azizawarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (military) andTamgha-e-Basalat to different officers and soldiers.
Awards conferred on martyrs were received by their family members at theceremony. A large number of senior military officers and relatives of theawardees attended the ceremony.
