ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has briefed the key ambassadors from world capitalsover Pulwama Attack investigations carried out in line with the dossierprovided by the Indian government.
Pakistan has expressed the commitment to take the process of investigationof Pulwama incident to a logical conclusion, the Radio Pakistan reported.
During a briefing given by the Foreign Office to the diplomatic corps inIslamabad on Pakistan’s initial findings on the Indian Paper related toPulwama incident, the Foreign Office expressed the commitment adding thatadditional information and documents would be required from India tocontinue the process of investigations.
Consistent with its commitment to cooperate, Pakistan has sharedpreliminary findings of its investigations with India along with a set ofquestions.
The diplomatic corps was informed that the Indian side had shared a Paperon 27 February 2019. Soon after its receipt, Pakistan constituted aninvestigation team, detained a number of persons for investigations andinitiated work on the technical aspects of social media content, the mainbasis of Indian Paper.
The diplomatic corps was further informed that during the course ofinvestigations, all aspects of the information provided by India have beenthoroughly examined.
Service Providers have been requested for data including relevant detailsof activities and contacts of the GSM number provided by India.
A request for assistance from Whatsapp has also been made to the USGovernment.
The diplomatic corps was informed that 54 detained individuals are beinginvestigated. However, no details linking them to Pulwama have been foundso far.
Similarly, the 22 pin locations shared by India have been examined, no suchtraining camps exist. Pakistan has also briefed diplomatic communityregarding the initial investigation and is willing to allow visits, onrequest, to these locations.
Earlier, the Government of Pakistan shared the preliminary findings withthe Indian government after examining Indian report on the Pulwama attackthat took place last month.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Indian HighCommissioner in Islamabad was called at the Ministry by the ForeignSecretary and findings on the Pulwama incident were shared with him.
